Review: Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick

The Color Splash Hydrating lipstick is a relatively new product from Tarte as part of their Rainforest of the Sea collection. It is a vegan friendly lipstick that currently comes in 24 shades all with really cute summer/beach themed names.

To try out this lipstick I got it in two nude shades because, just in case, nude shades transfer and wear far more natural looking than a bright shade. I picked it up in Rum Punch (nude) and Salt Lyfe (grey mauve). It comes in super cute blue marble packaging and feels really light in the hand. It applies super smooth and feels really comfortable, this is definitely one I go to when my lips are feeling a little tight or dry from wearing liquid matte lipsticks. It really is incredibly hydrating with super pigmented colour. It is actually surprisingly long wearing but not 100% transfer proof so you do want to be mindful of it, especially when you eat, if you wear it in a bolder colour. I haven’t experienced any issues at all with it bleeding or feathering, and I get really clean lines upon application. This is definitely a lipstick I would continuously purchase.
